This 23mm is a pancake lens with a maximum aperture of f/2.8. Combined with the smaller bodies it makes for a compact all around setup. With a weather resistant body it is ideal for shooting in the rain and other harsh conditions. Its field of view equivalent to a 35mm in full frame and provide the field of view of one of the favourite focal length. Released in 2025, as kit with the Fujifilm X-E5, it exists in both silver or black.
When bought as the kit with the Fujifilm X-E5 it comes with the same finish as the camera body.
It comes with a clip on lens cap and a screw on lens hood with a fit over soft lens cap. The filter thread diameter is 39mm. The non bundle version may come with more.
From the outside the 23mm looks exactly like the XF27mmF2.8 R WR.

This is the latest 23mm in the Fujifilm lineup, and there are two alternatives. The XF23mmF2 R WR (CA$599) was the defacto reasonably priced option, a bit faster, but not a pancake; it’s probably a good option on the used market. Otherwise the XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR (CA$1124) if you need a low light performer, but at double the price, and bigger.
